Open Garden Day

The pressure was on for this years’ Open Garden Day. Not only was it the new Marketing Team’s first experience of the event but all previous years had benefitted from beautiful warm sunshine, and a host of eager visitors. As Saturday approached, the tension mounted and we all kept our fingers crossed that the sun would shine on us this year.
We weren’t disappointed! The sun shone briefly, amongst some showers, and despite the fact many may have been put off by the cloudy skies to start the day, we attracted over 600 guests who enjoyed our gardens, grounds and of course - cakes.
The afternoon raised almost £1000 for the National Garden Scheme who donate the money to charities including Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie and Help the Hospices. Thank you to all that contributed towards a wonderful day. To view photos from the day, click here.
