Becoming Friends companion courses 2011/2012

When booking, please send a letter of support from your meeting - this could be from an Elder, Overseer or Clerk simply indicating that you have the support of your meeting in taking on the role of Becoming Friends companion (we hope this will help ensure that Becoming Friends service will be well rooted and supported in meetings).

Becoming Friends on-the-road

Becoming Friends companion courses are also available as part of Woodbrooke's off-site programme. If you would like to discuss the possibility of arranging a Becoming Friends companion course for your local or area meeting, please contact Ginny Wall or Lizz Roe.

‘Preparing to be a companion’ handbook

The new Becoming Friends ‘Preparing to be a companion’ handbook is now available for meetings who wish to run their own companion courses. The handbook gives guidance for offering a companion course locally, either as a series of sessions, or as a one day event. There are also options for self study. You can download a pdf of the handbook for free by clicking the link below. If you would like a printed copy, these are now available from the Quaker Centre at a cost of £5. Click here to buy online , email quakercentre@quaker.org.uk or ring 020 7663 1030.
