About Woodbrooke
Hundreds and Thousands...
Woodbrooke’s brand new fundraising initiative. Please help us to raise the hundreds and thousands needed to fund our forward vision.
Dear Friend
£100,000 We’ve put a value on what we need - here’s your invitation to be a part of it
Will you join us in helping Woodbrooke? Each year we need to know that our friends will give us the financial support which will guarantee our work.
Woodbrooke is now a hundred-year-old living experiment in faith. Since 1903 it has kept to its founders’ intention that it should be a place where Quakerism itself is kept vital and refreshed. Many people have benefited from the experiences Woodbrooke can bring and we hope many more will follow over the next 100 years. Donations from individuals and trusts have developed and encouraged this work, but we still need to find £100,000 every year to keep going.
If we are to go on equipping Friends with the spiritual grounding to achieve social change and live good lives, we need your help. In an age when we’re so eager to build and create, we sometimes forget to repair the things that are dear to us. This is a real chance for you to protect something worthwhile: a place where practice of love, worship, liberty and respect are nurtured and encouraged.
When I think about the £100,000 which is the gap we have to fill each year, it sounds enormous. But with the help of many friends like you, as little as 27p a day – half a Guardian – will make the difference. This is all it takes to give us £100 a year. And if you can give us £1000 a year, we can continue Woodbrooke’s work with optimism.
I know that, particularly at present, even a small amount might not be possible, however willing you might be to help. But if you can take up this invitation, then your decision to support us will have a real impact on what Woodbrooke can achieve in the future.
Yours in friendship
