An opportunity for Quaker Clerks from around the world to meet online and learn together. We will consider the clerk’s role and responsibilities before, during and after a Meeting for Worship for Business and explore the differing styles of clerking from a global perspective.
This course is for participants from Yearly Meetings outside Britain Yearly Meeting – if you are from BYM please book on Quaker Clerking in a Nutshell.
The course is for clerks at all levels of responsibility, whether you serve locally, regionally, nationally, or internationally, or simply want to learn more about the role and different approaches to clerking. We hope that participants will learn from each other as well as from the experienced course tutors.
Live sessions will take place on Saturdays. In between, participants are encouraged to stay connected on the Woodbrooke eLearning site. You are expected to engage for 1-2 hours a week with the suggested learning materials and tasks that will be there.
There will be some material to look at before the first session. We will email you around one week prior to the course with information about accessing the course, including this material, on our online learning platform (Moodle).
Upon request, a Certificate of Attendance may be issued at the end of the course.
