Enquiring Into: The Book of Discipline

Monday 1 March - Monday 8 March 2027

The live Zoom sessions are at 14:00-16:00 (UK time) on Mondays 1st and 8th March.

Rosie Carnall

Enquiring into… The Book of Discipline

Join this session to explore our responses to ‘Our Quaker Way’, the draft new Book of Discipline for Quakers in Britain using the Philosophy for Communities (P4C) method.

The P4C method creates a community of enquiry where creative, critical, collaborative and caring thinking brings people together for lively and rigorous discussions.

Together we will explore big ideas, taking time to think about them and discuss them, while keeping grounded in lived experience.

The sessions will be facilitated by two experienced Friends who have used P4C in a variety of contexts with children, adults and in mixed-aged groups. The sessions will be fruitful for participants with a variety of Quaker experience – for enquirers, attenders, new or more seasoned Friends. You are welcome to come to one or all of the sessions on offer.

No previous experience required. For more information about P4C go to www.sapere.org.uk.

There will be some material to look at before the first session. We will email you around one week prior to the course with information about accessing the course, including this material, on our online learning platform (Moodle).
