Thursday 9 October - Thursday 16 October 2025
The live Zoom sessions are at 19:00-21:00 (UK time) on Thursdays 9 and 16 October.
How does Britain Yearly Meeting work? In this course, we will explore how individual Friends, local and area meetings, Meeting for Sufferings, and Yearly Meeting all come together as one body, including what to expect at our annual gathering.
Understanding the structure of Britain Yearly Meeting and how each of us is a vital part of the whole is key to feeling truly part of the wider Quaker community and the key to answering concerns together. We will work through how all of us belong and form part of our local, area and yearly meetings, where we belong and how we all play an active part.
The two uses of the term ‘Yearly Meeting’ will be explained and explored and what to expect at our annual gathering Yearly Meeting.
On the booking form, there is a chance for you to let us know about any accessibility or communication adjustments that will enable you to participate more fully in the course. Automated Zoom closed captions are available for all live sessions but if you feel you require more accurate closed captioning please email us directly in addition to booking.
