The 20th century Quaker mystic Thomas Kelly had a vision of the “Blessed Community.” In this session we reflect on Kelly’s vision and his understanding of “the Fellowship,” reading and discussing extracts from his classic book A Testament of Devotion.
In richly musical prose, Kelly attempts to describe his experience of ‘the Holy Fellowship’ and ‘the Blessed Community.’ Kelly describes a radical God-centeredness that casts a new light on all our relationship. Kelly’s words can be a source of inspiration for Friends today who are looking for a deeper experience of Quaker community.
