How do we stay true to our Peace Testimony in this current moment? Many Quakers struggle with this difficult question. In this session we will be supported in our grappling by hearing one perspective: that of Tim Gee, General Secretary of FWCC.
The invasion of Ukraine sparked, for many, a profound confusion and questioning of the Quaker Peace Testimony. Is it valid in this situation? If not, is it valid at all? How can Quakers live out their commitment to the Peace Testimony at this time?
In this series of sessions, we will hear testimonies from different Quakers about how they are experiencing, understanding and acting on the Peace Testimony at this time.
In this first session, Tim Gee will share with us his personal reflections. After hearing from him and sitting in silence together, we will go into breakout rooms to share and listen to each other about our reflections, doubts and leadings.
Friends are invited to attend this session if they feel the need for companionship and focussed time together to connect with the Peace Testimony in this moment.
