Are you interested in how Quakers nominate and appoint people to roles? Are you joining or new to a Nominations Committee? This one-day course offers a clear overview of what ‘Nominations’ entails and the essentials of doing it effectively.
The facilitators are experienced in Nominations in various forms from Local Meeting Nominations Committee to Central Nominations Committee for Britain Yearly Meeting.
This one-day course is not intended to replace our longer, more in-depth Nominations course which will run in the autumn. It will, however, get you started on a good footing and deepen your understanding of how Quaker Meetings work.
It can help with your preparation for attending Yearly Meeting (23-26 May) as the course will clarify how Friends are appointed to the various roles that make it happen.
On the booking form, there is a chance for you to let us know about any accessibility or communication adjustments that will enable you to participate more fully in the course. Automated Zoom closed captions are available for all live sessions but if you feel you require more accurate closed captioning please email us directly in addition to booking.
