Quaker Trusteeship in a Nutshell

Are you a new or relatively new Quaker Trustee, or looking to gain confidence in your role? This one-day online course offers an introduction to trusteeship in a Quaker context, exploring both its spiritual foundations and practical responsibilities.

We will consider how Trustees can best serve their meetings and communities, looking at what God requires of us alongside legal obligations. The course will be informed by good practice for charities and grounded in Quaker experience. We will also explore how to strengthen links between local and area meetings and their Trustees.

This session is valuable for new and less experienced Trustees, as well as those returning to or considering taking up a Trusteeship role. Participants will gain confidence and understanding through accessible information, discussion, and interactive learning.

The course is led by two tutors with extensive experience of Quaker Trusteeship across a variety of contexts and roles.
