Read, Reflect, Respond Open Conversation

Woodbrooke and Quakers in Britain working in partnership.

Reading ‘Our Quaker Way’ the new draft Book of Discipline?

Join Friends from across Britain Yearly Meeting for an informal online conversation – a welcoming opportunity to check in, share reflections, ask questions and encourage one another as you read.

Reading ‘Our Quaker Way’ doesn’t have to be a solitary experience. Whether you’ve just started, are halfway through or have already finished the draft, these relaxed conversations offer a chance to connect with others who are also engaging with the text.

Each session will begin with a short period of worship before opening into informal conversation. There is no set agenda and no expectation that everyone will be reading the same chapter. Instead, participants are invited to share what has caught their attention, the questions they are holding, the passages that have inspired or challenged them, and what they are discovering as they read.

These conversations provide a supportive space where Friends can accompany one another on the journey of reading, reflecting and responding, recognising that our individual experiences are enriched when shared within the wider Quaker community.
