Simplicity: A Quaker Way of Being

How can we live more simply, frugally, adventurously and fully? This course explores the Quaker testimony of Simplicity and its relevance to everyday life. Themes around Plain Living which are relevant and applicable today in the lived Quaker experience will be shared.
We will explore themes of Simplicity together, sharing support and inspiration in our weekly sessions and between them. You will be encouraged to discern your own path toward a simpler life, creating space for greater peace, wellbeing, and clarity.
Each week we will follow a theme, with accompanying course materials. There will be discussion with other participants and simplification tasks which will be individual but may look like decluttering, streamlining or carving space in your life for that which feels important. You may like to develop more dedicated time for worship, or to share your gifts as lived ministry in new or creative ways. There will be support for each other in doing the tasks between sessions via Moodle, as we encourage each other to let our lives speak!
Whether you are a long-standing Friend or a new seeker, you are warmly invited to join.
There will be some material to look at before the first session. We will email you around one week prior to the course with information about accessing the course, including this material, on our online learning platform (Moodle).
