Quakerism encourages us to be spiritually present every day. Putting this into practice can be challenging, especially if we lack time or confidence. This one-day online course helps you explore a range of spiritual exercises for your daily life.
This course is an opportunity to explore what we mean by ‘spiritual practice’ and why it is valuable. We will experiment with a range of spiritual practices, including those which engage our minds, emotions, bodies and our whole self.
With the encouragement of your fellow participants, you will discover which practices speak to you at this time and you will be given resources to support you in continuing to experiment with these and other practices after the course ends.
The day will be split into four sections, with breaks away from the screen mid-morning, lunchtime and mid-afternoon:
Some resources will be made available online a few days before the course for those who want to do some preparation, but it is entirely optional.
On the booking form, there is a chance for you to let us know about any accessibility or communication adjustments that will enable you to participate more fully in the course. Automated Zoom closed captions are available for all live sessions but if you feel you require more accurate closed captioning please email us directly in addition to booking.
