Looking back on the past year, is there a wish that has come true? At the threshold of this new year, what wishes do you harbor in your heart? Join us in building a sense of community through storytelling.
In this session we will use a simple practice called ’Story Weaving’. Story Weaving was developed by Forest Therapy Guide Ben Page. It is a practice in which we respond to a prompt by telling each other stories from our own life. While listening, we harvest the wisdom from each story we hear. Finally, our individual stories are interwoven in such a way that it builds a sense of community. In weaving these strands of wisdom together, something new is created, a story about us, by us and for us.
You will receive a prompt to prepare your story in advance (no longer than a page), and will be asked to share your story within the session. All you need is a pen, some blank sheets of paper and a little curiosity.
On the booking form, there is a chance for you to let us know about any accessibility or communication adjustments that will enable you to participate more fully in the course. Automated Zoom closed captions are available for all live sessions but if you feel you require more accurate closed captioning please email us directly in addition to booking.
