Sunday Sessions: Meeting for Worship for Business

How is Quaker business also a meeting for worship? In a new kind of session for Woodbrooke, we are inviting whole meetings to gather together after Meeting for Worship and join us in an exploration of discernment roles and the sense of the meeting through shared learning and reflection.
This session is designed for Quaker meetings that want to deepen their shared understanding of Meeting for Worship for Business. Friends will explore how discernment is rooted in worship, clarify our individual roles within the process and reflect together on what is meant by the “sense of the meeting.”
Meetings are encouraged to share lunch together as part of the day. Each meeting will need a named Friend, or small organising group, to coordinate the physical space and Zoom connection locally. Seeing other meetings gathered on screen offers a rare opportunity to learn alongside the wider Quaker community while remaining rooted in local community.
