Talking Confidently About Our Quaker Faith
Tuesday 11 November - Tuesday 25 November 2025
The live Zoom sessions are at 19:00-21:00 (UK time) every Tuesday.

What do Quakers have that is worth sharing? Where is the joy, and how can we share that understanding and joy with each other and with newcomers? In this course, we will explore these questions as a supportive group of Friends, building confidence and skills together.
Friends will be encouraged to consider what they can say and develop ways of expressing their faith that feel personal, authentic, and natural. Through individual reflection, small group discussions, and shared exploration, we will consider what we value, what we want to share with the world, and how to express it in ways that are engaging and meaningful.
Talking about our Quaker faith, explaining what happens in Meeting for Worship, and sharing from our own experience can be challenging. Yet, it is vital if we are to communicate the joy and value of our faith.
This session is an opportunity to build confidence and find ways to support others in our meetings to do the same. We will focus on what we can confidently say to express what Quakerism means to us and why it matters.
The need to speak more confidently about our faith, both among Friends and with newcomers, was a key theme of the Future of British Quakerism conference. This session continues that conversation, but you do not need to have attended that event to take part in this session—everyone is welcome.
