What Calls Us Forth

What calls us forth? In this 90-minute session, we’ll explore the spiritual roots of Quaker witness, how Friends have been moved by the Spirit to shape a testimony of peace, equality, social justice, and care for our earth, and how these guide us in faithful action today.

For early Friends, witness flowed from powerful encounters with the Spirit, leading to lives of courage and conviction. Together we will explore the spiritual roots of key themes in Quaker testimony underlying witness, how they have changed over time, and what they mean for us today.

Through reflection and conversation, participants will be invited to consider how Quaker witness continues to speak to the urgent needs of our world and what may be calling each of us forth now.
