7 May - 11 June 2025
The live Zoom sessions are at 19:30-21:00 (UK time) every Wednesday.
How can the Pagan Wheel of the Year help us find balance in our lives? How can we walk cheerfully as Quakers through seasonal cycles? We’ll explore the energy and creativity of the summer while also noticing how it connects to winter.
Meeting weekly for six weeks, we will begin with an introduction to the Wheel of the Year. The course will start just after the Pagan festival of Beltane, associated with creativity and (sometimes metaphorical) fertility. We’ll move into and through the summer season together, noticing changes in the natural world around us and deepening our understanding of how the eight festivals form a single Wheel. When we finish it will be almost Litha, the midsummer solstice, and we’ll celebrate this turning point together. We invite both the curious, and those already familiar with the Wheel who seek to enrich and deepen their lived experience.
There will be some material to look at before the first session. We will email you around one week prior to the course with information about accessing the course, including this material, on our online learning platform (Moodle).
On the booking form, there is a chance for you to let us know about any accessibility or communication adjustments that will enable you to participate more fully in the course. Automated Zoom closed captions are available for all live sessions but if you feel you require more accurate closed captioning please email us directly in addition to booking.
