David Clough is Professor in Theology and Applied Sciences at the University of Aberdeen and a lay preacher in the Methodist Church. He is author of On Animals (2012, 2019), on the place of animals in Christian theology and ethics. He was Principal Investigator for the project on the Christian Ethics of Farmed Animal Welfare. He founded the DefaultVeg campaign, co-founded CreatureKind, and is Co-Convenor of the Race & Class in UK Religious Studies and Theology Project
