Eleanor Jackson

Eleanor Jackson grew up in a Methodist family but became a Quaker in 1979. She is an experienced prayer guide and retreat leader, training with Birmingham Ecumenical Forum for Spiritual Directors & Companions, and Manresa Link. Eleanor is particularly interested in how the spirit felt so strongly by early Friends – and countless others over millennia – can still be felt today. She has noticed that engagement with the Silence deep within can feed our work in the world, and that our activism, in turn, enriches our spiritual lives. Silence is where it all begins and we need to allow ourselves the time for that. Eleanor completed Woodbrooke’s Equipping for Ministry programme in 2004 and has been an associate tutor since 2005.
