Emily Provance is the 2025 Swarthmore Lecturer and a member of Fifteenth Street Meeting in New York Yearly Meeting. She is a recorded minister and also an associate of Good News Associates, a Christian, nonprofit, ministry organisation supporting individuals who are called to non-institutional ministries.

As a full-time traveling Friend, Emily works with Quakers around the world and across the full spectrum of theological diversity. She has coordinated or contributed to projects on intergenerational communities, support for parents, training for trustees, the life cycle of Quaker meetings, outreach, hybrid & online faith communities, fundraising, and adapting cross-cultural institutions to shifting global dynamics. In 2023 and 2024, she spent considerable time with both Friends and non-Friends holding workshops and conversations about election violence prevention in the United States. The common thread in Emily’s ministry is helping people with very real differences find ways to work together on what matters to them all.
