Estella Lovett became a Woodbrooke Associate Tutor in 2005, shortly after completing the Equipping for Ministry course.  Born in a fiercely secular family, at a young age she had an experience of love and unity that led her to her own contemplative path. In her teens she became interested in the writings of  the Indian religious schools, and later she practiced and taught meditation in the Buddhist tradition for many years.  Estella had connections with Quakers from her early twenties, but it was after making a formal study of Theology and understanding something of Christianity that she found her spiritual home among Friends.  Estella is currently an Elder.
