Isabel Cartwright, known as Izzy, is the Peace Education Programme Manager at Quakers in Britain. Izzy’s role at is to promote learning about peace by supporting the engagement of Quakers in peace education and by developing conflict resolution methods and skills within communities in Britain. Izzy worked previously as Senior Lecturer in Youth and Community Work at De Montfort University and for the YMCA. Prior to this Izzy worked in schools in the London Boroughs of Newham and Hackney – developing projects with young people at risk of exclusion. She has also worked on peace education programmes in Northern Ireland and New Zealand, and onboard the around the world voyages of the Japanese Peace Boat. Izzy now lives and works in Cardiff, Wales.
