Mike Heller is a member of the Roanoke Quaker Meeting in Roanoke, Virginia. He is a retired professor of English with a particular interest in spiritual autobiography. He edited The Tendering Presence: Essays on John Woolman, and he has recently written essays on Woolman and economics as well as Woolman and sustainability. He is currently co-authoring an essay on Woolman and the Beatitudes.
