Formerly a teacher of science, and then dance and drama, Ronni was in parish ministry for 16 years, until 2008. Since then she has worked as a freelance consultant, with projects/roles including the ‘Faith in the Nexus’ programme, Faith and Nurture Adviser for the Diocese of Canterbury, and, since 2025, consultant specialist/teacher on children’s spirituality for York Diocese.

As an associate tutor for the St Augustine’s college of Theology (Practical Theology) from 2017- 2025, Ronni has supervised students on the Church Mission Society (Oxford) Pioneer ministry course and was a guest lecturer on the Ridley Hall Lay Ministry training course and taught on the Children and Youth Ministry degree.

Key areas of expertise include developing children’s spirituality in schools, Spiritual Styles workshops, Godly Play workshops and training in leading assemblies/ collective worship.

Books by Ronni include ‘Faith in Children’ (Lion Hudson 2020), ‘Understanding Children Understanding God’ (SPCK 2007), ‘The God who Leads us on’ (SPCK 2008), ‘More Secondary School Assemblies’ (SPCK 2009), ‘Leaping the Vicarage Wall’ (Continuum 2011), ‘SEAL Assemblies for Primary Schools’ (SPCK 2011), and Primary School Assemblies for Religious Festivals (SPCK 2012). With her husband Gordon she has also written ‘Children Aloud’ (CHP), ‘Work life Balance’ (Sheldon) and ‘Move Yourselves’ (Bible Society).

Ronni has been attending Quaker worship since 2025.
