Susan Robson, after 30 years working as a social worker, began to study social research, completing a Masters and a PhD, both focused on conflict handling. Her 2014 book Living with Conflict: A Challenge to a Peace Church led her further into collaboration with historians of war resistance from other Christian denominations and Marxist atheists. Now in her 80s this work continues in a desultory way. Susan identified as a Quaker from the age of 12, welcomed by iconic War Resisters (Joan Mary Fry and John P Fletcher) in Golders Green Meeting. She remains a serviceable Friend.
