This session takes a postcolonial approach to reflecting on Quaker identity through the lens of Willie James Jennings’ pioneering work on ‘Whiteness’.
While Quakerism has an enviable reputation for social and political radicalism, this radical witness, has nonetheless, been impeded by the often-invisible perspectives of Whiteness.
