Creative Chaplaincy: annual conference for Quaker prison chaplains

Creative Chaplaincy - QPC conference

All Quaker Chaplains, new and experienced, are invited to an in-person weekend of creativity and time to learn from each other and guests.

The conference will include:

  • Key note speaker: Vanda Perrett, Managing Chaplain at HMP Werrington, a young offender institution (YOI) in Staffordshire.
  • Interactive creative session led by J42, who bring theatre, music and creative writing into the prisons and out to local communities.
  • Workshops led by Quaker prison chaplains and J42.
  • Time to relax and chat with fellow Quaker prison chaplains.

The conference begins with the evening meal on Friday and ends with lunch on Sunday. Residential places include all meals and accommodation. Non-resident places includes all meal except breakfast.

On the booking form, there is a chance for you to let us know about any accessibility or communication adjustments that will enable you to participate more fully in the course. The Woodbrooke Centre has some ground floor and lift accessible rooms including wheelchair access. All rooms will have an ensuite or dedicated bathroom. Please be clear about your requirements when booking so that we can ensure you are allocated an appropriate room.
