The History of the Quaker Way

This course gives a concise overview of Quaker history from the 1640s to the present-day, looking at seven distinct theological emphases. It will focus in particular on changing ideas of the purpose and mission of the Society, as well as its changing relationship with the wider world. It will allow us to see the choices Quakers have made over time which have resulted in present-day Quaker diversity worldwide. There will be plenty of time for discussion and questions. Everyone is very welcome, and no prior knowledge is assumed.
