November 2024 – Light and Dark
By the time November arrives, we are deep into the season of short days, when the walks to school and work may just about be in daylight. To quote the John Betjeman poem Advent 1955: ‘It’s dark at breakfast – dark at tea and in between we only see clouds hurrying across the sky.’
