About Leo Barnard

(United Kingdom)

I propose to use qualitative research methods to explore with psychiatrists, psychotherapists and service-users their perspectives on this diagnosis and their expectations and experiences of the programme. I anticipate drawing heavily upon Critical Theory since there is a current debate involving Critical Psychiatry, Critical Psychology and Critical Psychotherapy. One area which I believe has been under-represented in the research generally is the service-users’ input and I hope to redress this somewhat.
