The Role of Eldership in Meeting Life

An opportunity for Meetings to explore and learn what Quaker Eldership is and how it contributes to the grounding and vibrancy of Meeting life.

We are a Religious Society where all share the responsibility for the life and maintenance of the meeting as a worshipping community and the ongoing learning about Quaker faith and practice.

This workshop explores what Quaker Eldership is and how it works in practice when these commitments belong across the whole Meeting in principle, and how Friends with Eldership responsibilities can make a difference in a Meeting’s life.

The workshop helps Meetings deepen their collective understanding of Eldership and supports those serving as Elders in carrying out their responsibilities with greater clarity and confidence.

Suitable for Elders, incoming Elders, potential Elders, and other Friends interested in the spiritual life of the Meeting.
