Woodbrooke to join A Quaker Take podcast Woodbrooke Quaker learning and research

The popular podcast ‘A Quaker Take’ has become a joint project of Quakers in Britain and Woodbrooke.

Started in 2016 by staff at Quakers in Britain, the podcast was originally called Q:Witness but later rebranded to A Quaker Take. The podcast talks about ideas, faith, and activism, exploring a range of issues in Britain and internationally.

A Quaker Take on the Bible is the first joint episode featuring interviews with Woodbrooke tutors Mark Russ, Rhiannon Grant, and Timothy Ashworth, as well as Peterson Toscano who has worked as a Woodbrooke Associate Tutor.

The collaboration will see the podcast reaching out to more people for interviews and helps to meet the aims of both organizations. As Simon Best, Head of Learning at Woodbrooke puts it:

“I’m really pleased that Woodbrooke is able to support A Quaker Take podcast especially with this episode that shares the particular Quaker way of exploring and understanding The Bible. We’re looking forward to working with Quakers in Britain on more episodes next year.”

There are plans to create more regular episodes in 2021 continuing the podcast’s successful format of exploring different perspectives on a theme of interest to those curious about Quakerism.
