A painting of a globe of the earth.

An opportunity to learn together with Quaker clerks across the globe. We will be considering the clerk’s role before, during and after a Meeting for Worship for Business and looking at the different styles of clerking around the Quaker world.

This course is for all clerks – whether you are at a local, regional, national or international level or simply want to learn more about the role. We hope that participants will learn from each other as well as the course leaders.

Participants from our 2023 course commented:
‘I feel that I have benefited from such a rich seam of knowledge and experience’

‘The global diversity and range of experience from both tutors and participants made for rich exchanges’

‘This course has helped me to become a more confident clerk!’

Live sessions are on four Saturdays in October. We recommend that you check the session time in your own location by using https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html

You should allow two to three hours a week for working on the materials in this course in your own time.

There will be material to look at before the first session. We will email you around one week prior to the course with information about accessing the course, including this material, on our online learning platform (Moodle).
