Offering service to Woodbrooke

Woodbrooke Nominations Committee is looking for offers of service to help support the work of Woodbrooke through service on our committees and board.

We are seeking those with experience and interest in finance, HR, research, and education, and particularly Friends from more diverse backgrounds.

If you’re interested in supporting Woodbrooke we’d love to hear from you. Right now we are seeking:

  • Woodbrooke Trustees
Woodbrooke Trustees are responsible for strategic direction, financial oversight and policy, and for the employment of staff and the terms of their employment. They give support and guidance to the staff through the Director/CEO. They promote Woodbrooke as a learning community and support the fundraising function. Information about our current Trustee body can be found here.
  • Swarthmore Lecture Committee Members
The Swarthmore Lecture Committee oversees the annual Swarthmore Lecture and is made up of 2-3 Trustees and around half a dozen non-trustees. It is responsible for discerning the themes and the lecturers for the Swarthmore Lecture, and supporting the lecturer through the preparation and delivery of the spoken lecture and any associated materials. Find out more about the Swarthmore Lecture here.

If you would like to express interest in offering service to Woodbrooke you can email Noms@woodbrooke.org.uk for further information.

Woodbrooke is also supported by a number of volunteer and paid Associate Tutors, if you wish to offer service in the delivery of our learning see our Associate Tutor page here.
