Unsure where to start? Want practical advice to facilitate meaningful steps towards sustainability locally? The Quaker Ecochurch Network supports Meetings to share experience, achieve eco-accreditation, and act on our commitment to sustainability.

Come along to find out more and begin making contacts and connections to support your meeting in its journey towards living our commitment to act as a faith community inspired by the ‘Canterbury Commitment’ (minute 36 of Britain Yearly Meeting 2011).

Join us to hear from Wendy Hampton of Clitheroe Meeting about their journey towards Ecochurch accreditation.

Doing something practical can help instil us with a sense of purpose. This is not to be underestimated in these challenging times. It’s often difficult to know where to start when faced with such large-scale and complex issues. The Quaker Ecochurch Network offers a supportive community to uphold and inspire us on our journey, whatever stage we’re at.

There are Quaker meetings who have already achieved the Ecochurch Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards.

So, these practical steps towards sustainability are definitely achievable. The patterns these Meetings offer are shaping our collective way forward.

Eco Church is a non-denominational award scheme to help Churches move to a sustainable future. It has five areas of action:

  1. Worship and Teaching
  2. Buildings
  3. Land
  4. Community
  5. Global and Lifestyle
