The Quaker way is often portrayed as an individual one or one hard to define. However, there is a clear and contained sense of what it is to be a Quaker and how to be Quaker. This course explores what can be thought of as the heart of the Quaker way.
Thus, the day will cover the essentials aspects of the Quaker way of faith, its core understandings, and its message for the future: direct encounter with the divine; a distinctive form of worship; the centrality of discernment; and our witness in the world.
There will be mix of input and discussion, with no prior knowledge assumed. This course is ideal for newcomers as well as those seeking a refresher.
Tea and coffee will be available but please bring your own lunch.
