Gerald Hewitson has been a Quaker since 1983. A founder member of Holyhead Local Meeting, he belongs to North Wales Area Meeting. He has served at regional and national level, and internationally. Along with his wife, Gwyneth, he was Friend in Residence in Pendle Hill, Pennsylvania in 2011. He gave the Swarthmore Lecture in 2013.
