The correspondence and dynamics in John Woolman's travels

John Kershner presents his thesis topic about John Woolman.

John Kershner is a postgraduate student within the Centre for Postgraduate Studies, where he is in the final stages of a PhD titled John Woolman’s Abolitionist Theology and the Transformation of Social Consciousness. His research approaches John Woolman (1720-1772) from a theological perspective. In it he argues that Woolman’s experiential theology was essential to his abolitionism and socio-economic critique. He explores Woolman’s eschatology, proctology and mystical awareness of Christ’s activity in the individual’s conscience and in history.
