August 2012 – The Five Senses – Touch
The next five issues look at the five senses of touch, smell, hearing, taste and sight. The senses play a vital role in a child’s overall development. A baby is stimulated by sights and sounds around, by new tastes and smells. A baby responds to touch and contact with parents. A child who is deprived of these stimuli will fall behind in his or her development.
